Client’s need:

Martinhal Beach Resort & Hotel is based on the Western Algarve in Portugal. They were keen to drive awareness with families in the UK and particularly promote two key areas:

1. Martinhal Family Surf Spirit Fornight, taking place across the Half Term

2. Their Low Season offers for the pre-school market

Our solution:


To directly build awareness of Martinhal and these two distinct areas, we scripted and produced two 30″ adverts, which were broadcast regularly in the lead up to these key times.

This was supported with an extensive multi-platform competition to win a family holiday to the resort. The live presenter reads offered flexibility to promote various aspects at Martinhal as well as the resort as a whole.

Finally, to maximise reach with our online audience, we created a bespoke Martinhal Section on full of information about the resort, special offers and buy links.

The results:

The advertising campaign reached over 170,000 listeners, generating 1.1 million impacts.

There were over 2,000 competition entrants with around 50% opt-ins, providing a database of over 1,000 parents we could share with the client for further promotional activity.
